About Tina
Tina is a Somatic Therapist and Movement Educator working from Galway City, Ireland and online. She works with individuals and groups to safely explore issues and concerns in a body-oriented way to increase well-being & life satisfaction, and cultivate a felt experience of our true, original and whole self.
Tina offers a heart-centred and safe holding environment. Her facilitation style is gentle, allowing people space to explore their relationship with all their parts, including their competent adult, inner child and creative self.

She works with trauma recovery and reestablishing resiliency. She has experience working with depression, anxiety, and trauma; developmental, complex and PTSD. She works with traumatic activation, our survival patterns, guiding completion of fight and flight sensory-movements, working through dissociation, freeze & collapse and submit and fawn responses, so that a felt sense of wholeness and healthy boundaries can be accessed.

Tina’s professional interests include our developmental patterns and how early experiences, including our earliest embryological ones, shape our ways of being in the world and how our attachment patterns influence our relationship experience.

Her approach is based on her four year training in the unique and pioneering ORIGINS, a deeply experiential and unique training in body-oriented somatic therapy and education (2015 graduate).

Tina holds dance events for groups, EXPERIENCE DANCE. She is developing experiential workshops in basic somatic skills, EXPERIENCE SOMATIC MOVEMENT for groups.

She works as an assistant facilitator to Joan Davis with ongoing ORIGINS somatic processing groups, and also with her online workshop series; PRESENCE IN TIMES OF CHANGE, and ESSENCE of EMBODIMENT, a combination of The Discipline of Authentic Movement and Embryology.

She also works as an assistant to Gwen McHale with her somatic processing group, INCARNATE and also her Gender & Power process group.

Tina is committed to ongoing clinical supervision, personal therapy, and continuing professional development.

Tina is a graduate of the 3 year training program in The Discipline of Authentic Movement: ORIGINAL NATURE, A PRACTICE IN PRESENCE with Joan Davis and Julia Gombos.
She also takes part in Diane Poole Heller's trainings in Attachment and Trauma resolution.

Tina is committed to ongoing learning and her own healing to bring a compassionate and clearer presence, along with the most effective skills, to her clients.

She values her relationships with her peers in the Irish professional body, SOMETI, and follows the code of ethics of ISMETA and keeps up to date with best practices and recommendations of Irish professional bodies in the mental health field.
